Throughout the month of April, HSE’s unified track and field team has had extreme success. From a Mud Sock win to personal bests all around, each athlete has contributed to the success of the team.
Unified will go onto the tournament in the upcoming months to compete at the highest level in sectionals, regionals, and state. The dedication of this team has shown the past month truly sets them up for success for the rest of the season.
Unified track has been a sport up and rising for years, and this year by far is the breakthrough season. Peers and athletes practice twice a week to get better and perform at their top ability. Throughout the month of April, the team has brought all the victories home and had some of the best performances by far.
Although they took a tough loss at the Hamilton County meet, earning 4th place and the HCC Invitational, ending in 6th place this team has the most fun and are willing to work together to improve. They have a drive to win and are never willing to back down.
This team is full of dedication, and how they have been able to come so far is through teamwork. HSE’s unified track and field team had a bond like no other which allows them to support each other and achieve their goals. Make sure to follow along and support the Royals as they go into tournament season.
To this day, the royals next meet is Friday, May 10th. The royals plan to make their name known on the track, as sectionals approach, in hopes for a state title.
