As the season advances, the tennis girls find themselves pitted against formidable adversaries from rival schools, with each match serving as a rigorous assessment of their abilities and determination. Their journey is marked by demanding practices and expert guidance from Coach Gernert, fostering continuous growth and honing their skills with each passing day. This combination of dedication, teamwork, and strategic coaching lays the foundation for the team’s development and success on the field.
So far, the team faced a tough loss to the Zionsville Eagles and could not quite get enough points in a row to get the win. But they are learning from every mistake and are continuing to get better every day! At this match Senior Morgan Filer got her first HSE varsity win and is carrying the team off to a great start.
This month, the girls have multiple home and away matches. With the home match on April 22, against Guerin, it will be senior night. And the away match April 23 at fishers will be mudsock and our smash cancer match. As the season progresses the team is looking forward to the Delta Invitational match, Park Tutor Invitational, and the HCC Invite.
Each practice session, every game, and each challenge represents these girls with a chance to pass their own boundaries and reach new heights. Stay tuned for more updates and follow the team’s progress throughout the season to witness their growth and accomplishments firsthand!
