Sophie Lorch has been involved in the unified track and field team for 3 years now. Sophie loves unified track because “it allows everyone to feel included and supported.”

Being involved in unified track brings students the joy of mentoring their peers and that is what Sophie enjoys the most. “Being able to support the peers in something they enjoy doing brings so much joy. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, It truly is the best thing I have ever been a part of.”

Sophie believes the team is strong and they have a very good season ahead of them this year. There are many new people this year which she is looking forward to mentoring. “My favorite part of unified track is the encouragement from everyone and the smiles track brings.” Sophie and her best buddy, Bridget Bell both practice 3 times a week to compete at scheduled meets.

Sophie’s passion for unified track and field and the love she puts into the team will get them far as she goes into another year on the team. Make sure to show up and show out to support Sophie and her team this season!
