Junior, Kiley Zoeller, is a member of the HSE Girls Swim and Dive team. The decision to join the team her freshman year was one of the best decisions she has ever made. Being on this team has taught her how to be “mentally tough” and “push myself to reach my goals”. Another big thing Kiley has learned is “how to manage my time, while being a student-athlete and having other life events outside of my education and sport”. It is clear that Kiley has a bright future ahead of her. She plans on pursuing swimming all four years of college. Then she plans on becoming an occupational therapist to help and train people with injuries. Kiley’s favorite part about being an HSE athlete is the lifelong friendships she’s made. “I’m so grateful to be in such an amazing group of people with such hard-working coaches”. Throughout Kiley’s life her role model has always been her mom. It was her mother who taught her what it meant to swim for the glory of God rather than for her own pleasure. Which has been the most helpful advice she has heard throughout her career. It taught her to fight hard and never give up. Make sure you come and support the HSE girls Swimming and Diving sectionals Thursday, February 1st @6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 3rd @ 1:00 p.m.
