Every “great” starts somewhere. The Hamilton Southeastern Boys and Girls Wrestling team is ready to be great and take on the 2023-2024 season! One of our incredible players, Adam Gerstner, explains how he loves being an HSE athlete because of “the amazing culture we have, we work hard every day and our coaches care about us in and out of sports. We also have successful programs and winning is fun.” At HSE our wrestlers are incredibly determined and ready to achieve new records and create stronger mindsets this season. Wrestling has a huge mental impact on student athletes and physical changes. Gerstner states how “wrestling is different than other sports because of the toll cutting weight has on you mentally and physically. It is also a one-to-one sport so if you lose or win you know it was 100% because of the work you put into the match.” Wrestling is a sport that is extremely hard on players because you must believe in yourself 100%, 100% of the time. Being slammed to the ground on repeat and getting back up again and again is what makes you a strong determined athlete. The Rals are hot and will take on another great season. Some predictions from Gerstner on the upcoming season state how “we had 6 in the ticket round to go to state last year so I think we will send 4 to state this year.” We are super thrilled and excited to see what great things come from our Hamilton Southeastern Girls and Boys wrestlers this season!
