SSN: Former Buccaneers Receiver Vincent Jackson Found Dead

On Monday of this week, Vincent Jackson was found unresponsive and declared dead at a Florida hotel room. What happened to him is still the subject of discussion, however a new report says he may have died up to three days before he was found in the hotel room.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday “That it believes Jackson suffered from chronic alcoholism and concussions at the time of his death.”
According to ESPN, “The new details released by the medical examiner’s office Thursday came on the same day a Jackson family spokesperson confirmed to ESPN that the family donated his brain to Boston University’s CTE Center in an effort to learn more from his death.”
Bostin University plans to learn more about Vincent’s death in the coming days or weeks. He was only 38 years old at the time of his passing.
Born in Colorado Springs, Jackson grew up in a family whose favorite pass time was watching Football. Jackson attended Widefield High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a senior, he was a Rocky Mountain News All-State Honorable Mention, a first-team all-area pick, and a first-team all-conference pick.
Jackson was a former receiver for the Buccaneers and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers during the 2005 NFL season. He played college football at Northern Colorado as well. Jackson was selected to the pro bowl three times and exceeded 1,000 receiving yards six times in his career.
