The Movie A Secret In Their Eyes, starring Julia Roberts and Chiwetel Ejiofor, hit the theatres on Friday, Nov. 20. It is a remake of the 2010 Argentine film that won an Oscar.  This movie portrays FBI investigators Jess and Ray, and their struggle in arriving to a scene to find Jess’ daughter raped and murdered. The movie switches back and forth between present day and 2002 when the murder took place. The first scenes show Ray coming back to his old job at the FBI to tell Jess that he found the killer of her daughter 13 years later.

  Rotten Tomatoes rated A Secret In Their Eyes at 41%, while the audience rated it at 49% with 3.2 stars out of 5. Their critic consensus says, “Secret in Their Eyes wastes its incredible cast on a remake that fails to improve upon — or even make a compelling case for its own existence in addition to — the remarkable original.” The domestic gross as of Dec. 6 was estimated over $17 million.

  This thriller/mystery movie offers a complicated plot with many action filled scenes and plot turns.
