As the 2024 Girl Lacrosse season begins Junior Reagan Janes prepares to set sights on a good season. With the season starting, janes and the royals are 2-1. Going into the middle of the season with a winning record, Janes plans to help her team towards a winning season.
Janes has been surrounded by lacrosse throughout her life, as her sister played. “I attended one of the youth try-it days in 3rd grade and immediately fell in love with the sport.” Said Janes. After that she knew she found her sport, and now has played it for eight years.
When it comes to lacrosse Janes sister is her motivation, inspiration, and more. Janes said, “Although my sister no longer plays lacrosse, she continues to support me, and she is someone who I can always go to after a game.” Explained Janes. “I love being able to talk to someone who has once been in my shoes and understands what it is like to be out on the field.” Said Janes. Knowing that she has someone to go to Janes continues to play the best game she can knowing her sister will be there for her.
Janes shares her most memorable moments of lacrosse with her sister. Janes said “It’s nothing big but I love all the times we get to go out to the backyard and pass around together.” Said Janes. “ Those are some of the most memorable moments for me because they are where I developed a lot as a player.” Explained Janes.
During her junior season she plans to make in impact on the team and help them towards a state title. The royals are off to a good start and continue to grow. Janes is making her name on the field and plans to continue playing lacrosse.
